Amy left alone.
Again.
She believed surrendering herself would protect everyone else.
Daniel discovered her plan from a note left beside Emma's bed.
But this time, Emma refused to let her mother disappear quietly.
“She always runs when she's scared,” Emma said.
Daniel looked at his daughter.
“What do we do?”
“We don't let her decide our lives anymore.”
Police tracked Amy to an abandoned warehouse owned by one of Richard's former companies.
They arrived before Richard could escape.
There was no dramatic rescue.
No heroic fight.
Just flashing lights.
Raised hands.
And the sound of Richard Miller realizing that his years of running were finally over.
He was arrested.
The financial records were recovered.
The case was finished.
But for Daniel's family, the hardest part was only beginning.
