The Will Nobody Expected

Chapter 15 - The Will Nobody Expected
The will shocked everyone.
Sarah's signature was authentic.
The witnesses were legitimate.
Dominic looked untouchable again.
But Lily noticed one strange sentence.
The document referred to "my daughter, Lily Vale."
Her name had never been Lily Vale.
It was Lily Mitchell.
Sarah had refused to use Dominic's family name.
Always.
Lily remembered her mother correcting school paperwork when teachers made that exact mistake.
Sarah would never have called her Lily Vale.
The attorney investigated.
The will itself was real.
But one page had been replaced.
Dominic had altered the document after Sarah signed it.
The original copy was eventually found in the files of a retired paralegal.
Sarah had left the coastal property entirely to Lily.
And one additional clause changed everything.
If evidence of fraud connected Dominic to the original property transfer, ownership would pass immediately to Lily without further dispute.
Dominic's empire began collapsing.
Banks froze accounts.
Investigators opened old records.
Former employees started talking.
Ray's recording became evidence.
For the first time, Dominic could not buy silence.
But Lily surprised everyone.
She wasn't celebrating.
"This land destroyed my family," she told Ethan.
"What are you going to do with it?"
May you like
Lily looked toward the ocean.
"I think I know."
