The Unseen Eye

Chapter 05 - The Unseen Eye
Serena’s eyes widened in sheer, unadulterated horror. She frantically reached into her designer handbag, trying to grab her phone to smash it against the marble floor.
Before her fingers could touch the leather strap, two of Victor’s bodyguards stepped in, pinning her arms behind her back with brutal precision. Marco stepped forward, snatched the handbag, and pulled out the latest luxury smartphone.
“Password, Miss Montigue,” Marco asked coldly.
“Go to hell!” Serena spat.
Marco didn't waste time. He forced her thumb against the biometric sensor. The phone clicked open instantly.
Marco tapped the screen twice, his face hardening into a terrifying scowl. He walked over to Victor and handed him the glowing device.
On the screen was a draft video clip recorded just five minutes before Victor arrived. Serena’s voice was loud and clear through the speakers:
“Look at this pathetic little brat, dad. I’m breaking his arm today, and tomorrow I’ll make sure he falls down the stairs. Once I’m married to Victor, the Blackwood bloodline belongs to us.”
The phone screen went dark in Victor’s palm.
A heavy, suffocating silence fell over the foyer. The guards stepped back slightly, knowing the storm that was about to erupt.

Victor slowly turned toward Serena. The coldness in his eyes was gone, replaced by a dark, abyssal fury that promised absolute destruction.
“You touched my son,” Victor said, his voice dropping into a register so deep it seemed to vibrate through the floorboards. “And you planned to murder him in my own home.”
