Fifteen years after Father Michael died, Samuel mailed me the original cream envelope.
Court evidence had finally been released.
I stared at it.
Broken wax seal.
Luca’s name.
The object that started everything.
Luca found me at the table.
“You okay?”
“Yes.”

I thought.

That surprised both of us.
